Armed Robbery Investigation of Local Arcade
Investigators with the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office are currently investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Lucky Charm Skills Arcade.
On Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at approximately 2:33 am, deputies with the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office responded to 5625 South Main Street in reference to a panic alarm at the Lucky Charm Skills Arcade.
Two employees who were leaving for the evening, were approached in the parking lot by what appeared to be three to four males dressed in all black with hoodies and masks covering their faces. The two employees were forced back into the business at gunpoint. Once inside, the suspects directed one of the employees to lay prone on the floor at gunpoint.
The suspects demanded that the ATM machine be opened, but the victims did not have a key to open it. The suspects remained inside the business for a short period of time before leaving the scene, where they made the two victims stay in the bathroom as they left.
The victims reported that the suspects took cash and personal property belonging to the victims, including a handgun. This is still an active and ongoing investigation. No other information will be released at this time.
