Rockwell, NC - On Saturday night, a high-speed chase in eastern Rowan County concluded with a crash that ejected the driver from his vehicle. The pursuit began around 8:30 p.m. in downtown Rockwell when an officer spotted a car speeding on U.S. Highway 52. Despite attempts to stop, the driver continued east, eventually losing control on Wyatt Grove Church Road, crashing into a field. Emergency responders found the man conscious and talking. He was taken to Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital for treatment, his condition remains unknown.
