Delta Downs Lane Investigation Leads to Search Warrant and Drug/Weapons Violation on 2/28/2025
On Friday, February 28th, 2025, Detectives with the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit (SIU) concluded a month-long investigation into narcotics distribution in Rowan County, NC. During the investigation, investigators purchased fentanyl from DAVIS at the address where investigators conducted a search warrant.
With the assistance of the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Apprehension Team (SOCAT) investigators were able to conduct surveillance and arrest DAVIS without incident. Investigators then executed a search warrant on Delta Downs Lane in Salisbury, NC. During the search warrant, investigators located numerous narcotics, drug paraphernalia, and a firearm. While conducting the search warrant investigation, Detectives learned that DAVIS had left two juvenile children unattended inside the home prior to being arrested on a traffic stop by investigators. Detectives were able to seize approximately 63 grams of Fentanyl, 116 grams of marijuana, 313 tablets of Oxycodone Hydrochloride and a 9mm pistol.
DAVIS was charged with the following crimes:
• Trafficking in Opiates x8
• Possession with the Intent to Manufacturing/Sell/Deliver Schedule 6 Controlled Substance
• Maintaining a Dwelling for the Use of Storage or Sale of Controlled Substances
• Child Abuse x4
This investigation is ongoing with further charges pending. The seizure of fentanyl, a potent drug, highlights the ongoing concerns over opioid trafficking in many areas.
