Rowan Sheriff Seeks Public’s Help in Shooting Investigation

From Rowan County Sheriff: "WE NEED YOUR HELP"

"Detectives with the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s help to solve a shooting that took place on July 31st at around 11:30 pm at the intersection of Majolica Road and Sherrills Ford Road.

The victim had been followed from the Lakewood Apartments in Salisbury by a suspect driving a red Hyundai Sonata. When they reached the intersection at Sherrills Ford Rd, the suspect fired shots, striking the victim in the head. The victim sustained serious injuries, but is recovering.

The suspect vehicle was identified as a car stolen from the city of Salisbury. It was later discovered on August 2nd at around 2:00 am in the 600-Blk of E Monroe Street in Salisbury abandoned and on fire.
