Rowan County Sheriff's Office says scammers are Impersonating their department.

"BE AWARE OF SCAMMERS IMPERSONATING LAW ENFORCEMENT
It has been brought to attention that scammers are still spoofing our office number to make it appear we are calling you. Then they are advising that court was missed and a warrant for arrest has been issued and to pay by using Venmo. It will look like we actually called, but we will NOT ask for payment.
This is NOT our office calling. We will NOT ask you to send money by Vemno, gift card or other means! Do not send any money!
If in doubt, call our office and we will clarify whether there is an active warrant or not."
