Landis Police Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest

Statement from the Landis Police Department.


“On 06/11/2024 at approximately 2300 hours, Landis Police Department Patrol Officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on North Main Street at Everhart Avenue for speeding.

During the stop, officers discovered marijuana in plain view in the front center console and a lit marijuana cigar on the passenger side floorboard. A search of the vehicle revealed:

  • Over 12 oz of marijuana in multiple bags and containers
  • A digital scale with marijuana residue
  • 3 bags of marijuana edibles
  • Over $6,000 cash

The suspect, Quinton Jones, was arrested without incident. We would like to extend our gratitude to the Rowan County Sheriff's Office for their assistance with the investigation.

Charges:

  1. Felony Possession of Marijuana
  2. Felony Possession with the intent to sell or deliver
  3. Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  4. Driving while licensed revoked
