Assistance Needed in Hunt for Missing Teens Body

Police are seeking public assistance as crews spent all day Monday searching for the body of 17-year-old Baylee Carver.

The Albemarle Police Department is requesting residents of Gold Hill, Cold Water, Mount Pleasant, and northwestern Stanly County (including northwestern Albemarle, Richfield, and Misenheimer) to review their surveillance footage from Friday between 3 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. Authorities are searching for a 1999 two-door red Honda Civic (reference photo below) with black wheels and a North Carolina license plate RHC 1776.

*Last cell phone ping was in the area of Gold Hill.

 

 

The search for Carver began on Friday. According to police, Joshua Biles, the 20-year-old suspect charged in connection with her death, claimed he cannot remember where he left her body.
